Complete rules for the FICCI BAF Awards 2026. All participants must read and agree to these terms. Where a category-specific requirement differs from the general rules, the category-specific requirement prevails.
Unless otherwise specified under a category, all works must have been completed, released, published, broadcast, premiered, or commercially launched between 1 April 2025 and 31 March 2026 (both inclusive). The later of the Official Release/Publication Date or the Project Completion Date must fall within this window.
All entries must be submitted through the official FICCI BAF Awards Online Entry System on or before the published deadline. Incomplete or late entries may not be considered.
Projects submitted to any previous edition of the FICCI BAF Awards are not eligible for re-entry, whether or not they were nominated or won.
A single project may be entered into multiple categories if it satisfies each category's requirements. Each entry needs a separate form, the applicable fee, and all required supporting materials.
Permitted for co-productions, studio collaborations, partnerships, or institutions. One organisation or individual must be the Primary Applicant and official point of contact.
The Organizing Committee may request evidence to verify completion/release dates, rights ownership, student status, or production details. Failure to provide it may lead to disqualification.
Some categories add requirements (duration, formats, specifications, materials). Where a category-specific requirement differs from the general criteria, the category-specific requirement prevails.
Open to projects created by an Indian citizen/permanent resident; produced by a company, studio, institution or organisation registered in India; or co-productions where the original IP originated in India, irrespective of where production or post-production was executed.
Open to projects produced outside India; international creators, studios, institutions and production companies; and Indian creators who wish to compete alongside international entries.
Eligible Indian entrants may submit the same project to both the Indian and International Competitions, provided separate entries are submitted wherever required and all eligibility conditions are met.
By submitting an entry, the entrant declares and confirms that:
The Organizing Committee may request additional documentation to verify ownership, authorization, or eligibility at any stage. Any submission found to contain unauthorized content, plagiarism, misleading information, or material misrepresentation may be disqualified at the Committee's sole discretion.
By participating, entrants grant FICCI a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to use submitted materials solely for the promotion and administration of the FICCI BAF Awards and associated convention / awards activities. Entrants retain full ownership of all intellectual property. Where promotional restrictions apply, participants must notify the Organizing Committee in writing at the time of submission.
Entrants are responsible for selecting the most appropriate category. Where the Organizing Committee determines a project was entered into an incorrect category, it may reassign the entry to a more appropriate one to ensure fair evaluation. Reassignment does not guarantee nomination or selection.
The FICCI BAF Awards are founded on creativity, fairness, inclusion and professional integrity. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject or disqualify any submission that:

Platforms should submit customer insights, growth statistics and case studies to support nominations. Brands must align with self-regulatory gaming norms, including responsible gaming and fair play.
For all student categories, entrants must submit a bonafide certificate from their educational institution as proof. For Student Game of the Year, proof of enrollment for the current or last academic year is mandatory (student ID, enrollment verification letter, or academic transcript). The game should be developed primarily by students without significant professional assistance.
