Established in 2004 by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the Best Animated Frames (BAF) Awards were created to recognize the exemplary achievements of both students and professionals in the dynamic field of animation.
What began as India’s inaugural animation awards has steadily grown to include recognition not only in animation but also across the expansive domains of Visual Effects (VFX), video gaming, comic publication, and most recently, artificial intelligence and extended reality (XR).
Over the years, the BAF Awards have transformed into a global platform, attracting high-calibre submissions from talented individuals and teams worldwide. The awards celebrate creativity, technical execution, and commercial viability.
The most recent edition, held in March 2025, saw participation of nearly 300 entries spanning 12 different countries, proving BAF's reach beyond South Asia into global hubs.
